2 found dead in Oakville house fire

OAKVILLE — Two people were found dead after a residential fire early Friday morning in Oakville, according to the Watertown Police Department.

At approximately 3:52 a.m., the Watertown Communications Center received a report of a fire at 28 Pleasant View Avenue.

Watertown Fire and Police Departments responded to the scene, where they found a single-family residence fully engulfed in flames.

Two individuals were discovered deceased inside the home.

The incident remains under active investigation, with authorities from the Waterbury State’s Attorney’s Office, the Watertown Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Connecticut State Fire Marshall’s Office coordinating the investigation.
