New London man arrested in Groton on stalking, harassment charges

WATERBURY — A 47-year-old New London man wanted on multiple felony charges was apprehended Friday in Groton, Connecticut, according to Waterbury police.

Jeremy Colonghi was arrested without incident in a joint operation involving the Waterbury Police Department, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Groton Police Department.

Colonghi faces charges including stalking in the first degree, criminal violation of a protective order, harassment in the second degree and disorderly conduct.

Following his arrest, he was additionally charged with refusal to be processed at the Waterbury Police Department.

Authorities said Colonghi was also wanted on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by Waterbury Superior Court and faces an additional active arrest warrant from the Groton Police Department.

He is being held on a $215,000 bond pending arraignment in court today.
