CORTLANDVILLE — A 19-year-old McGraw resident faces multiple charges including driving while intoxicated after allegedly fleeing from police during a traffic stop on April 26.
Jordan P. Davis of Clinton Street was arrested at 9:06 p.m. after initially evading officers, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at approximately 8 p.m. after observing a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Davis allegedly failed to comply with the officer’s lawful order and fled in his vehicle.
The officer was unable to safely follow Davis and temporarily lost sight of the vehicle.
A short time later, deputies located Davis in his vehicle in the Town of Solon.
Davis was found to be driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
He was arrested and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and released on appearance tickets.
Davis faces multiple misdemeanor charges including reckless driving, reckless endangerment in the second degree, unlawful fleeing police in a motor vehicle in the third degree, failure to comply with a lawful order, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and driving while intoxicated.
He also faces several infractions including operating after consuming alcohol under age 21, speeding, inadequate or no stop lamps, driving across hazard markings, driving to the left of pavement markings, and driving left on crest grade/curve.
Davis is scheduled to appear for arraignment in the Town of Cortlandville Court on May 12 at 1 p.m. and in the Town of Solon Court on May 21 at 6 p.m.
