Driver arrested after crashing into guardrail, pole in Randolph

RANDOLPH — A local man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle on Route 14 Thursday evening.

Michael Beauchesne, 43, of Randolph, was taken into custody after Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 7:43 p.m.

According to police, Beauchesne failed to maintain his lane, striking a guardrail and telephone pole.

During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment, leading to Beauchesne’s arrest.

Beauchesne was transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing and issued a citation to appear in court on the DUI charge.
