Boston police seize 2 firearms, 2,000 grams of cocaine in Dorchester raid

BOSTON — Officers from multiple Boston Police Department Drug Control Units arrested three Dorchester men and seized approximately 2,000 grams of cocaine during a raid Thursday afternoon.

The arrests occurred around 1:44 p.m. on May 1 at 30 Thane Street in Dorchester while officers executed search warrants as part of a drug investigation.

Mohamed Jalloh, 21, Mekhi Phipps-Dedrick, 22, and William Pope-Dedrick, 29, all of Dorchester, were taken into custody on multiple firearm and drug trafficking charges.

During the search, officers recovered a Glock 23 with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine, and a Glock 26 with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine.

Police also seized approximately 1,985 grams of cocaine, 55 grams of marijuana, and $9,980 in U.S. currency.

All three suspects face charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of ammunition without an FID card, trafficking cocaine (200 grams or more), possession with intent to distribute Class D, and drug violation near school park.

Pope-Dedrick faces additional charges of being an armed career criminal level 2 and unlawful possession of a firearm, third offense.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
