CLARENDON — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Shrewsbury Road and U.S. Route 7 resulted in minor injuries to one driver Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:24 a.m. on May 1 when Lisa Velde, 66, of Middletown Springs attempted to make a left turn from U.S. Route 7 South onto North Shrewsbury Road.
According to Vermont State Police, Velde turned her 2019 Buick Encore in front of a northbound 2016 RAM 2500 driven by Zakary Delphia, 34, of Mount Holly.
The collision caused total damage to Velde’s vehicle and significant damage to Delphia’s truck.
Velde sustained minor injuries but declined transportation to a hospital.
Delphia reported no injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to the scene and were assisted by the Clarendon Fire Department.
Civil violation charges are pending, according to state police.
