PORTLAND — Portland police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspicious man who allegedly lunged at a teenage girl on April 30.
Officers responded to the area near Warwick Street at 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a suspicious male.
According to police, a 15-year-old female was walking home when a man stopped his vehicle and lunged at her.
The teen was able to elude him and reach her home safely.
The suspect is described as a white, balding male, approximately 60-70 years old, driving what appeared to be a 2009-2010 gold Toyota Corolla or similar vehicle.
Authorities are asking residents in the area of Warwick Street and Candlewyck Road who may have surveillance equipment that recorded traffic between noon and 1 p.m. to contact police.
