Owego man arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

OWEGO — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 41-year-old Owego man on drug charges following a traffic stop on April 24.

Daniel E. Jones was found in possession of suspected crack cocaine, a digital scale, and packaging materials during the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jones was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony, and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.

Following his arrest, Jones was transferred to the jail division to await arraignment in Tioga County CAP Court.

After arraignment, he was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Owego Court at a later date.
