WESTBOROUGH — A missing 18-year-old Westborough resident has been located outside of the town, police announced Thursday.
Geovanny Isales, who had been the subject of an intensive search operation, was positively identified in another jurisdiction, according to the Westborough Police Department.
Authorities are now working with outside law enforcement agencies to ensure Isales’ well-being and to facilitate contact with him.
The teen had last been seen leaving the YMCA on Wednesday afternoon wearing grey sweatpants and a maroon YMCA staff T-shirt.
The search had involved Massachusetts State Police K9 units, CERT teams, and air support, along with Westborough Fire Department and District 14 personnel.
Police had concentrated their efforts in the Smith Parkway and Otis Street area, utilizing drones and helicopters.
Officials indicated that further updates will be provided as appropriate.
