HOPKINTON — An 80-year-old woman who went missing in Hopkinton State Park has been safely located, according to police officials.
The Hopkinton Police Department had issued an alert Wednesday afternoon asking the public to be on the lookout for the elderly African American woman who had disappeared in the area of the state park along Route 85.
Police described the woman as having very short cropped hair and wearing a blue dress with a sweater at the time of her disappearance.
Authorities confirmed at 4:30 p.m. that the woman had been found and was safe.
No additional details were provided about the circumstances of her disappearance or recovery.
