MALTA — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 70-year-old Malta man Thursday on felony charges after he allegedly possessed stolen brass and copper materials valued at more than $1,000.
Robert J. Green was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 4th degree, a class E felony, following an investigation into a larceny complaint received on April 9.
The stolen materials were reportedly taken from a job site at 688 state Route 9P in the town of Stillwater.
Investigators allege Green turned in the stolen metals for cash at Plan It Waste and Recycling in the town of Milton.
Green was arraigned before the Honorable Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
