SANFORD — A man wanted for a stabbing on Bodwell Street was arrested Wednesday night after police received a tip about his whereabouts.
Jonathan Gillis was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. on April 30 after officers surrounded an apartment on Breary Avenue where he was reportedly staying.
Police said Gillis exited the residence on his own and was arrested without incident.
Gillis was wanted on an active warrant for Aggravated Assault, a Class B crime.
After being booked at the Sanford Police Station, he was transported to the York County Jail.
Bail has been set at $50,000, according to authorities.
