Boston police seek woman in downtown assault investigation

BOSTON — Boston police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman connected to an assault and battery incident in the downtown area.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Water Street and Congress Street on Saturday, Nov. 9 at an unspecified time.

Authorities described the suspect as a white female who was last seen wearing a long black coat, black shirt, black pants and red shoes.

Detectives from District A-1 are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information to contact them at (617) 343-4571.

The public can also submit anonymous tips through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS, texting “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or submitting information online through Boston Police CrimeStoppers.

Police said photos and videos related to the investigation can be submitted anonymously.
