Teacher arrested for DUI after arriving at West Rutland school

WEST RUTLAND — A Manchester woman faces charges after allegedly arriving intoxicated at West Rutland School on Wednesday morning.

Lori Antal, 55, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after school officials reported her to authorities at 8:44 a.m. on April 30.

Vermont State Police responded to the school at 713 Main Street following reports that a teacher had arrived showing signs of impairment.

Investigators determined Antal was under the influence and took her into custody.

After processing, Antal was released to a sober party and issued a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division on May 19.
