GRANVILLE — A Rochester man is facing multiple charges, including his fourth DUI, following an incident Tuesday evening on Post Office Hill.
Charles Jason McLoughlin, 56, was arrested after Vermont State Police troopers responded to a reported assault at approximately 5:58 p.m.
During their investigation, troopers determined McLoughlin was displaying signs of impairment.
After being screened for suspicion of DUI, authorities found McLoughlin had operated a motor vehicle while under the influence.
Police also determined he had acted in a violent or threatening manner and knowingly caused bodily injury to another person.
McLoughlin was placed under arrest and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Addison Criminal Division, on May 19 at 12:30 p.m.
McLoughlin faces charges of DUI #4, simple assault, and disorderly conduct.
