NORWALK — Three individuals were arrested early Wednesday after allegedly shooting paintballs from a moving vehicle at pedestrians on Norwalk streets, police said.
Officers responded at 12:51 a.m. to a call from a victim who reported being shot in the left thigh by what he initially thought was a BB gun while walking at the intersection of East Avenue and Wall Street.
The victim provided a description of an older model gray SUV as the suspect vehicle.
A second caller reported that while walking near 34 West Avenue, occupants of a gray SUV fired several shots in her direction, though she was not struck.
Patrol officers located and stopped a 2011 gray Acura MDX at the intersection of Monroe Street and South Main Street.
During their investigation, officers discovered paintballs and a paintball gun in the vehicle.
Mason Riina, 18, of 215 East Rocks Road in Norwalk, was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of peace in the first degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.
Two 17-year-old juveniles were also arrested on identical charges.
Riina was held on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 13.
