New York man arrested for DWI after Colchester crash

COLCHESTER — A New York man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 17 on April 9.

Adam Stine of Park Ridge was taken into custody after Colchester Police responded to the crash on State Highway 17 eastbound.

Upon arrival, officers found Cooks Falls Fire Department and Roscoe-Rockland EMS already on scene evaluating the driver.

Police observed that Stine appeared to be in an intoxicated state and identified him using his New Jersey driver’s license.

After failing standardized field sobriety tests, Stine was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .18, both unclassified misdemeanors.

Stine also received a ticket for failure to keep right.

Authorities released Stine to a third party and scheduled him to appear in the Town of Colchester Court at a later date.
