Springfield woman cited for retail theft at local co-op

SPRINGFIELD — A 32-year-old Springfield woman has been cited for retail theft following an incident at the Springfield Food Co-op last month.

Officers responded to the co-op at 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 12 for a report of an alleged retail theft, according to a press release from the Springfield Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as Cassandra Boardman.

Boardman was taken into custody on March 19 at 7:33 p.m. for an unrelated arrest warrant.

While in custody, she was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, located in Woodstock, on May 13 at 8:30 a.m.

She will answer to the alleged charge of retail theft.
