Stolen car found at Berkley gas station, driver arrested

BERKLEY — Officers from the Berkley Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Race Mart Gas Station on Padelford St. at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday, April 27.

Upon arrival, officers found a male individual asleep in a severely damaged vehicle.

The male was identified and subsequently arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen during a domestic dispute earlier that morning.

The suspect has been charged with carjacking and domestic assault and battery as a result of the incident.
