Middlebury man cited for posting explicit images without consent

MIDDLEBURY — The Vermont State Police have cited a local man for allegedly posting sexually explicit images online without consent.

Jonathan A. Wieman, 48, of Middlebury, turned himself in at the New Haven Barracks on April 28 and was issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division.

The investigation began on Sept. 2, 2024, after police received a report about explicit images being posted to an online platform.

Investigators determined that Wieman had allegedly posted sexually explicit images of an adult individual without their consent earlier in 2024.

Wieman faces charges of disclosure of sexually explicit images without consent.

The name of the victim was not released, in accordance with Vermont State Police policy regarding victims of sexual offenses.
