SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Police Department, with support from the New York State Attorney General’s Office and New York State Police, recovered 638 firearms during a gun buyback event on Saturday, April 12.
The event took place at St. Lucy’s Church.
Among the firearms collected were 130 assault rifles and several ghost guns.
Police have not provided any more information at this time.
