SEARSBURG — Vermont State Police arrested a New Hampshire man on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash on Route 9 in Searsburg Monday evening.
Troopers responded to the scene at 7:14 p.m. where they identified the driver as Marcus Persons, 32.
After investigating the crash, officers placed Persons under arrest for DUI with criminal refusal.
Persons was processed at the State Police Shaftsbury Barracks before being transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.
He is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Superior Court’s Criminal Division on May 5 at 8:30 a.m.
