Brattleboro police arrest Turnbridge man on outstanding warrant

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro police arrested a Turnbridge man Monday afternoon on an active arrest warrant issued by Windsor Superior Court.

Officers encountered Elisha B. Taylor, 42, at approximately 3:30 p.m. April 14 on Flat Street.

Police confirmed Taylor was the subject of an outstanding warrant after he allegedly failed to appear for a court-ordered evaluation.

The warrant originated from charges including failure to register as a sex offender, retail theft, violation of conditions of release, and unlawful mischief.

According to police, Taylor resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

He was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department in lieu of $200 bail.

Taylor is scheduled to appear in court at 12:30 p.m. April 15.
