ST. JOHNSBURY — A 43-year-old St. Johnsbury man has been cited for violating conditions of his pre-trial release after allegedly contacting individuals he was ordered to avoid.
Aaron Rowell was issued a citation on April 7 while incarcerated at the Northeast Correctional Complex, according to Detective B. Murphy of the St. Johnsbury Police Department.
Police say Rowell mailed a letter to the victim’s family in a case for which he was arrested in March.
Rowell’s conditions of pre-trial release specifically prohibited him from contacting these individuals, regardless of whether he was in jail or released.
He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on April 21 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
