New Hartford police seek man wanted on multiple charges

NEW HARTFORD — The New Hartford Police Department is actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Michael T. Sprague, a 56-year-old man wanted on multiple charges stemming from a March 14 incident in the town of New Hartford.

Sprague, described as 5’6″ tall and weighing 145 pounds, is wanted in connection with several misdemeanor charges including unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree and reckless driving.

Additional charges include aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, passing a red light, driving to the left of pavement markings, and failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change.

Sprague also faces charges of operating a vehicle without insurance and making an improper turn by failing to signal.

Police believe Sprague may still be in the area.
