Hancock man faces second DUI charge after traffic stop

HANCOCK — A 30-year-old Hancock man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for the second time following a traffic stop on April 7 at approximately 7:24 p.m.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle on Route 100 near Recreation Drive for an observed motor vehicle violation.

While speaking with the operator, identified as Linus Biederman, troopers observed indicators of impairment.

Following an investigation, Biederman was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

Biederman was released with a criminal citation to appear before the Addison County Superior Court at a later date to answer to the charge of DUI, second offense.
