CABOT — Vermont State Police arrested a 34-year-old Cabot man Thursday afternoon following a reported domestic assault at a residence on VT Route 215.
Michael D. Austin was taken into custody after troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the call at approximately 3:05 p.m.
Troopers determined there was probable cause to arrest Austin on charges of domestic assault.
The identity of the victim was not released, as Vermont State Police does not disclose the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
Austin was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court Washington County Criminal Division on April 7 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
