LATHAM — State Police arrested an Albany man Tuesday for allegedly stealing a vehicle from Colonie.

Patrick M. Aine, 25, of Albany, was charged with third-degree grand larceny following an investigation that began Sunday.

Troopers received a report of a stolen vehicle at approximately 11:10 a.m. on March 16.

Investigators determined Aine allegedly stole the vehicle from Colonie earlier that day.

The New York City Police Department located the vehicle being operated by Aine on E 5th Street in Brooklyn and conducted a traffic stop.

Aine and two adult passengers were taken into custody for being in possession of the stolen vehicle, which was seized by authorities.

State Police took custody of Aine on March 18 and transported him to SP Latham for processing.

He was arraigned at the Colonie Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
