Man arrested on cocaine possession charge in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — A New Hampshire man was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession following a possible overdose call early Sunday morning.

Springfield police officers responded to a call about a possible overdose at 1:01 a.m. on March 2.

Upon arrival, officers identified the operator as Michael Sykie, 44, of Charlestown, N.H.

After an investigation, officers allegedly found Sykie in possession of suspected cocaine and took him into custody.

Sykie was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing and later released with a criminal citation.

He is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court at 8:30 a.m. on April 29 to answer to the alleged charge of possession of cocaine.
