WOONSOCKET — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Middletown man Wednesday evening on multiple charges including possession of a stolen motor vehicle and an outstanding warrant for domestic assault.
Alexander Barra, 41, of Middletown, was taken into custody at 7:13 p.m. during a traffic stop on Cumberland Street.
Troopers charged Barra with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license – 4th offense, and served him with an arrest warrant from the Middletown Police Department for domestic simple assault under the 24-hour domestic rule.
During the same traffic stop, officers also arrested Justice Conner, 21, of Middletown, for possession of crack cocaine.
Barra was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned, and transferred to the custody of the Middletown Police Department.
Conner was held overnight as a bail violator pending morning arraignment at Sixth District Court.
