Newmarket man with multiple warrants arrested on North Main St.

NEWMARKET — A 32-year-old man with multiple active arrest warrants was apprehended Wednesday evening during a routine patrol on North Main Street, according to police.

Daniel Gelardi was taken into custody without incident after an officer recognized him and confirmed his identity around 7 p.m. March 12.

Police had been alerted that Gelardi might be staying in the area.

Gelardi faces several felony charges including forgery, theft by unauthorized taking, and theft by deception.

He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for parole violation and a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a felony charge of identity fraud.

The bench warrant carried a $2,000 cash bail.

Gelardi was transported to the Rockingham County Jail where he will await arraignment by various agencies on the charges.
