LEWISTON — A transient man was charged with arson after a vehicle fire early Tuesday at a local business, authorities said.
Lewiston police responded to Tri-State Insulation at 353 Lincoln St. at approximately 3:50 a.m. for a report of a parked vehicle on fire.
The Lewiston Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, which investigators determined was intentionally set.
Jason Hunter, 40, was charged with arson and violating conditions of release following an investigation by the Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Unit and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Hunter remains in custody at the Androscoggin County Jail.
