Corinth man charged with arson after early morning disturbance

CORINTH, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a local man on arson charges following a disturbance call early Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to Antone Mountain Road in Corinth at 3 a.m. on March 12.

Louis M. Hart, 34, of Corinth, was arrested and charged with second-degree arson, a class B felony, and third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony.

Authorities say Hart intentionally damaged a building by starting a fire while knowing another person was inside the structure.

He is also accused of intentionally damaging someone else’s property in an amount exceeding $250.

Hart was arraigned before Judge Michael T. Woodcock in Corinth Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
