CORNWALL — Two men were arrested after New York State Police troopers found 104 grams of crack cocaine during a traffic stop on the NYS Thruway in Cornwall, authorities said.
Troopers from Troop T, SP Tarrytown, pulled over a black 2019 Honda CRV traveling northbound on the Thruway for vehicle and traffic violations at about 10:47 p.m. on March 12.
During their investigation, troopers discovered the crack cocaine in the vehicle.
The driver, Dershaun D. Nicholas, 35, of Troy, and his passenger, Stephon Pierre, 42, of Slingerlands, were both arrested.
They were each charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, a class B felony.
Following their arraignment in Newburgh City Court, both men were ordered held at the Orange County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
They are scheduled to appear in Cornwall town court on Tuesday, March 18, at 3 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
