UTICA — Police arrested a 40-year-old Utica man Tuesday following a narcotics search warrant executed at a local hotel.
Eric Augusto was taken into custody March 11 when investigators from the Utica Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, searched a room at the Red Roof Inn.
Officers discovered multiple illegal substances during the search, including cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and assorted pills.
U.S. currency and packaging materials were also seized from the location.
Augusto faces multiple felony charges including five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of cocaine in the 4th and 5th degrees, and criminal possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.
Additional charges include six counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
