STERLING — A Sterling man faces multiple charges after allegedly threatening a victim and assaulting deputies during a domestic incident in February.
Brett A. Dennison, 39, was arrested on two warrants following the Feb. 28 incident, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Sterling at approximately 6:18 p.m. after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators determined Dennison had threatened to cause physical harm to a victim at the scene.
Dennison was detained due to his actions and statements, and was transported to Auburn Community Hospital for evaluation.
While in custody, Dennison allegedly kicked and spat on deputies.
After being treated and released from the hospital, Dennison was arrested on two warrants charging him with second-degree harassment, both violations, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor.
Dennison appeared in CAP court on March 4 at 7 p.m. and was released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Sterling Court on March 12 at 4 p.m.
