AVON — A Mount Morris woman was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after a traffic stop on West Henrietta Road in Avon.
On March 7 at approximately 7:50 p.m., Deputy Matt Vancuran stopped a vehicle after recognizing the driver as someone with a suspended license.
The driver was identified as 36-year-old Alisha Ballard of Mount Morris.
During a drug investigation at the scene, deputies discovered several hundred empty baggies, scales, and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Ballard was taken into custody and transported to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
At the sheriff’s office, deputies discovered Ballard had concealed cocaine and methamphetamine on her person.
Ballard was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, fourth, and fifth degrees, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, and other vehicle and traffic violations.
She was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of West Sparta Justice Mahany.
The judge released Ballard on her own recognizance with the condition that she report to Livingston County Probation for pre-trial services.
