MANCHESTER — Manchester Police responded to a report of an assault near 340 Kelley St. at approximately 9:30 a.m. on March 12.
Officers arriving at the scene found a man on the ground with significant facial injuries.
The victim was conscious and breathing but unable to respond to questions from police.
Detectives investigating the incident gathered evidence indicating that what was initially reported as an assault appeared to be an accident.
The man is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
