Hampden man arrested after road rage incident in Brewer

BREWER — A Hampden man was arrested following a road rage incident that began on Interstate 95 in Bangor and ended on South Main Street in Brewer, police said.

Dakota Miles, 27, allegedly displayed a firearm during the March 9 confrontation, according to a statement from the Brewer Police Department.

Cpl. Cummings investigated the incident and identified Miles as the suspect.

Police discovered Miles was on bail for a domestic violence offense and was subject to a protection order from a former intimate partner that prohibited him from possessing firearms.

A search warrant was executed at Miles’ Hampden apartment by the Maine State Police Tactical Team, resulting in the seizure of several firearms.

Miles was charged with Criminal Threatening (Class C), Violation of Conditional Release (Class E), and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person (Class C).
