Vehicles vandalized at Wells River car dealership

WELLS RIVER — Vermont State Police are investigating the vandalism of two vehicles at Wells River Chevrolet where fuel tanks were damaged, causing gasoline to leak onto the ground.

The incident occurred between 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, and 7 a.m. Monday, March 10, at the dealership located at 10 Railroad Street in Newbury.

Police were notified of the vandalism at approximately 2:09 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.

Investigation revealed that holes were drilled into the fuel tanks of two vehicles, resulting in fuel draining onto the ground.

Authorities have not identified any suspects in the case.

The Vermont State Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
