MILFORD — A carjacking at a Cumberland Farms early Sunday left a 25-year-old woman injured after two suspects stole a vehicle with her inside, according to Milford police.
The incident occurred around 12:09 a.m. at 1023 Boston Post Road when dispatch received a 911 call from a man reporting his vehicle had been stolen with his sister still inside.
Police said a Black male with dreadlocks wearing a gray sweatsuit entered the vehicle and attempted to physically remove the female victim, punching and kicking her.
A second suspect, described as a Black male wearing all black, drove the vehicle westbound on Cherry Street.
The vehicle stopped outside of 170 Cherry Street where both suspects exited and tried to remove the female victim a second time.
The woman managed to get into the driver’s seat and drive away while the suspects entered a darker colored SUV that fled toward Exit 39.
The victim was transported for medical evaluation as a precaution, and her vehicle was seized for evidentiary purposes.
