GENEVA — A 45-year-old Geneva woman was arrested Friday after allegedly robbing a liquor store at gunpoint, according to city police.

Members of the Geneva Police Department’s Uniformed Division responded to Saglimbeni Discount Liquor Store on East North Street at approximately 2 p.m. for an armed robbery in progress.

Initial reports indicated the suspect displayed a handgun through a jacket pocket and stole approximately $50 before fleeing south on Wadsworth Street.

A detective responding to the scene located and detained the fleeing suspect.

April Lashay Patterson was identified as the sole suspect in the armed robbery, police said.

The detective bureau determined Patterson also allegedly stole a “Tip Jar” from the Hernandez Mexican Store on March 3.

Patterson, a convicted felon, had an active warrant for violation of NYS Parole, according to police.

She was charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.

Patterson was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.

Police said additional charges are pending as Patterson may be involved in several other robberies in the city.
