5 arrested in Elmira pizza shop check fraud scheme

ELMIRA — Five individuals have been arrested in connection with a burglary and check fraud scheme involving a former employee of Rico’s Pizza, New York State Police at SP Horseheads announced Tuesday.

The investigation began Jan. 7 when police received a complaint that multiple unauthorized checks had been stolen from Rico’s Pizzeria and cashed at various financial institutions.

Evidence implicated a former shift manager and four accomplices, according to police.

Dominic Z. Palmieri, 28, of Elmira, faces charges including two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, burglary, petit larceny and conspiracy.

Dannielle R. Leskoven, 33, of Towanda, Pa., was charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and conspiracy.

Anngelica M. Morrow, 37, of Towanda, Pa., faces charges of possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny and conspiracy.

Luna-Holly Foster, 24, of Elmira, was charged with possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny and conspiracy.

Jamison S. Randall, 25, of Elmira, faces three counts of possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and conspiracy.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police in the investigation.
