SKOWHEGAN — A routine traffic stop for vehicle defects led to multiple drug charges for a local woman late Tuesday night, according to police.
Officer Damion Romo stopped Jessica Salsbury, 47, while she was operating a 2009 silver Nissan Murano around 11:15 p.m.
During the investigation, K9 Reece was brought to the scene by Sgt. Joshua York to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle.
The subsequent search resulted in the seizure of 0.54 grams of crack cocaine, 0.24 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 4.99 grams of mushrooms, police said.
Officers also seized an EBT card that did not belong to Salsbury, a drug ledger, and money allegedly from selling illegal drugs.
Salsbury was arrested and charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs, Class C felonies, one count of Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs, a Class D misdemeanor, and Misuse of Public Benefits Instrument, a Class D misdemeanor.
