Officials noted that some individuals have posted false information about the crash based on abbreviated statute titles listed in the jail booking system.
According to the sheriff’s office, these digital systems cannot display the entire wording for every statute, and many are abbreviated to fit the digital format.
The sheriff’s office urged the public to refrain from making comments without fully understanding this limitation or other issues related to the case.
