PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested five individuals on various charges during traffic stops in Providence and surrounding communities on Saturday, March 9, according to a statement from the Lincoln Woods Barracks.
Ismael Gonzalez, 22, of Pawtucket, was arrested at 10:47 a.m. following a traffic stop on Francis Street in Providence.
He faces charges of reckless driving, obstruction of an officer, and resisting arrest.
Carlos Delgado Alves, 54, also of Pawtucket, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. after being stopped on Cleveland Street in Central Falls.
Alves was charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test (second offense).
Michael Valeijo Aillon, 34, of Warwick, was apprehended at 11:20 p.m. on Route 95 in Providence on a Fourth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of operation under foreign license from the Narragansett Police Department.
Jefferson Karnley, 22, of Providence, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. Sunday on Steere Avenue in Providence on an affidavit and arrest warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle from the Pawtucket Police Department.
Brady Shores, 18, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, was arrested at 5:08 a.m. Sunday after troopers responded to a disabled vehicle on Route 95 North in Pawtucket.
Shores was charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
All suspects were processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and either released or transferred to other authorities following arraignment by a justice of the peace.
