Man arrested for DUI, driving with suspended license in Braintree

BRAINTREE — A local man was arrested Saturday evening after police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on Thayer Brook Road.

Angel M. Abreu, 45, of Braintree, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks were dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:59 p.m. on March 8.

During their investigation, officers determined Abreu was showing signs of impairment while operating a motor vehicle.

Police also discovered Abreu was driving with a criminally suspended license.

Abreu was taken into custody and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was issued a criminal citation to appear in court on the charges.
