SPRINGFIELD — A Connecticut man was arrested for driving under the influence following a road rage incident on Interstate 91 Saturday evening.
Vermont State Police received a complaint about a road rage incident on I-91 in Vernon at approximately 6:38 p.m. on March 8.
A Be On the Lookout alert was issued with a description of the vehicle involved.
About 40 minutes later, at approximately 7:18 p.m., an officer from the Springfield Police Department stopped a vehicle on Interstate 91 near mile marker 46 in Springfield that matched the description in the alert.
Troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to the scene and detected signs of impairment while interacting with the driver, identified as Connor Haug, 22, of Hamden, Connecticut.
Haug was arrested for suspicion of DUI and negligent operation and transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later issued a citation and released.
Haug is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court – Windsor Criminal Division on May 27 at 8:30 a.m.
