SHELDON — Vermont State Police are searching for an unknown driver who fled from a traffic stop on VT 105 near Machia Road at 12:33 p.m. Thursday.
Troopers attempted to stop a green Ford Crown Victoria with Vermont license plate HPW489 for a lane violation under Title 23 VSA 1038.
When police initiated the stop, the vehicle fled the scene, resulting in an eluding charge under Vermont Title 23 VSA 1133.
Initial investigation determined the person driving the vehicle was not the registered owner, according to police.
