Man arrested in Rhode Island on Connecticut robbery warrant

WEST GREENWICH — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Massachusetts man Friday on a fugitive from justice warrant during a traffic stop on Route 95.

Troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Gustavo Fernandes Da Silva, 21, of Quincy, at 1:24 p.m. on March 7.

Da Silva was wanted by the New Britain Police Department in Connecticut on a charge of first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon.

Following the arrest in West Greenwich, Da Silva was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

He was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.
